Abstract:
A cyclometalated ruthenium complex has been
designed to be immobilized on a surface by diazonium
electroreduction. Modified surfaces have been obtained and
fully characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,
electrochemistry, and atomic force microscopy. Molecular
junctions consisting of Ru(bpy)2(ppy) oligomer using direct
top-coat evaporation are presented.
